Casting

For casting, we decided to take on the main roles ourselves, making the process more manageable and ensuring we fully understood our characters. I will be playing the main character, a mother struggling with dissociative identity disorder, which means I have to adjust my performance to seem older and more emotionally conflicted. To make the character feel realistic, I plan to change my voice, posture, and expressions. Speaking in a calmer and more mature tone while using subtle gestures can help show her inner turmoil. Since she is the heart of the psychological thriller, her paranoia and distorted perception of reality need to come through naturally. Small details like nervous glances, hesitation in her speech, and moments of confusion will help bring her character to life. Playing such a complex role will be challenging but I am excited to take it on and make her emotions feel real to the audience.

Alexis Lee will be playing the friend, which works well since we are close in age and our natural chemistry will make their friendship more believable. Dressing similarly might also help show their connection early on. Alexis has a great ability to show concern while keeping things subtle, which is important for balancing the tension in the film. Eliran Argi will play the detective, who is a key character in uncovering the mystery surrounding the protagonist. He has a strong vision for the role and understands the kind of presence the detective should have. Since he is also in charge of the props for his scenes, he fits the role perfectly. Since we were the ones who created the story, it makes the most sense for us to play the characters. We already have a vision of how they should act and the emotions they should portray, which makes it easier to bring them to life. Because of scheduling difficulties, we chose to keep the cast small, which also helps us stay organized and in sync with each other. Even with just three people, we believe our performances will create a suspenseful and engaging opening that draws the audience in.
